The New York Region of the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) will honor three outstanding leaders in Broadway entertainment at its celebration The Anti-Defamation League and Broadway: Side by Side Against Hate for 100 Years tonight, Nov. 25, with special guest Comedian Paul Rodriguez and produced by Carol Ostrow, ADL board member.

The celebration, commemorating ADL's 100 years of achievement with a showcase of Broadway spectaculars, will be held at the Hudson Theatre. Awards will be presented to three individuals who have exemplified ADL ideals through theatric excellence.

"We're honoring three of Broadway's bright lights - people who have made a commitment to promote ADL's mission of fighting hate through their lives and work," said Abraham H. Foxman, ADL National Director and a presenter at the event. "We are honored to pay our respects to these magnificent individuals."

The honorees are:

Distinguished Leadership Award: Harriet Newman Leve, three-time Tony Award winning producer of War Horse, La Cage Aux Folles, and The Norman Conquests

Lifetime Achievement Award: Sheldon Harnick, legendary Broadway lyricist of Fiddler on the Roof, The Body Beautiful, and The Rothschilds

Future Broadway Award: Adam Blanshay, producer of Woody Allen's Bullets Over Broadway and Kinky Boots

The evening's production, directed by Ted Sperling (South Pacific, Light in the Piazza) and written by Jonathon Tolins (Buyer & Cellar, The Twilight of the Golds) will highlight the accomplishments of ADL through a musical Broadway showcase starring Jason Robert Brown, Carolee Carmello, Robert Cuccioli, Stephen DeRosa, André DeShields, Eden Espinosa, Randy Graff, Sheldon Harnick, Jesse Manocherian, Michael McElroy, Lillias White, The Mark Stuart Dance Company, and the New York City Youth Pride Chorus. Comedian Paul Rodriguez will also be featured.

"ADL is the most important organization fighting not only anti-Semitism, but hate and bigotry towards all people," said Ostrow. "What better way to honor them than through the legendary songs of Broadway, which have held up a mirror to humanity for as long as ADL has been around."

The evening will begin with a VIP reception and dinner, followed by the awards presentation and show. Dinner/show tickets as well as individual show tickets are available for purchase. Supporters can also contribute by purchasing a journal ad that will be featured in the evening's playbill. For ticket and journal pricing, visit www.adl.org/broadway100.
