Come join the chocolate man as Scottsdale Desert Stages Theatre proudly presents their latest On Stage production of Willy Wonka Jr, opening May 22nd.

Based on Ronald Dahl's beloved children's story Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, this childrens musical tells the tale of the famous candy maker, Willy Wonka, and his mysterious candy factory. He hides 5 golden tickets in his popular Wonka chocolate bars where each recipient is promised a tour of the factory and a year's supply of the scrumdiddlyumptious candy bars. The 5 children, all of very different personalities and attitudes, go on an adventure of a lifetime that they will never forget!

As one of the lucky winners, Charlie Bucket is of sweet spirit and pure heart. He, along with his ailing Grandpa Joe, joins the others- Veruca Salt, Mike Teevee, Violet Beauregrade, and Augustus Gloop- to find out what exactly does happen behind the tall Wonka factory gates and what magic lies beyond them.

Veteran children's director Tiffany Atkinson and choreographer Angela Kriese bring a whole new life and vision to this classic story. With vibrant costumes, a bright and beautiful set, and of course the infamous Oompa Loompas audiences will sure to be singing and dancing in their seats! Don't miss this "sweet" show that is a perfect outing for the whole family and maybe you will find a golden ticket!

Show runs from May 22nd, 2015- June 21st, 2015. Show Times are Friday & Saturday at 7:30pm and Saturday & Sunday matinees at 1:00pm and 3:00pm Tickets are $15 each and group discounts are available! For tickets contact the box office at 480-483-1664 or visit their website at www.desertstages.org.
