This just in from TEDxBroadway 2015, longtime social media superstar (and BroadwayWorld.com contributor), @BroadwayGirlNYC revealed her previously anonymous identity this morning at the industry event. We've gotten guesses over the years, and can now reveal that it's.... Laura Heywood!

At the event, Laura also announced the launch of Laura Heywood Media, devoted to ... you guessed it, Social Media!

While undercover as @BroadwayGirlNYC, Laura was at Sirius XM for 10 years both on-air and off, most recently as Director of Talent & Industry Relations. Before that she was an on-air personality in San Francisco radio (for a time the youngest full-time air talent in the market!), and also starred in TV & print ads for the multinational, multi-year Dove Campaign for Real Beauty.

A description on her new web site, notes that "Laura Heywood views artistic audiences as collaborators, rather than customers. She leads social media accounts as conversations between artists and fans who are equally invested in the success of the works they love. With a decade-long background in national broadcasting, she understands the intersection of entertainment and dialogue; and how to encourage the passion and loyalty that lead to commercial success. As the brain behind twitter's @BroadwayGirlNYC, one of the world's most followed theatre-related social media accounts, Laura has proven her prowess in engaging arts lovers around the globe."

@BroadwayGirlNYC is one of the most-followed theatre accounts on Twitter and has helped lead the way of interaction between fans, shows, industry insiders and performers in the world of Showcial Networking. Her sincere, unique and positive take on Musical Theatre has spread passion, broken news, and helped to shine a light on the ever-growing presence of all things theatrical on Twitter and beyond, to a growing audience of over 21,000 followers.

TEDxBroadway was founded on one central question: "What's the best Broadway can be?" Now in its fourth year, TEDxBroadway brings together some of the most interesting people in academics, entertainment, marketing, science and beyond to create, share and stimulate dialogue about the current and future state of the Broadway community. The TEDxBroadway stage has been graced by a diverse set of presenters from all walks of life ranging from Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, Tony and Pulitzer prize-winning artists to a variety of recognized speakers in entrepreneurship, education and government affairs.
