Scissor Sisters' Jake Shears, currently starring in Martin Sherman's musical BENT in Los Angeles, is at work on a new musical, and he's enlisted some major talent.

In a new interview with The Advocate, the Scissor Sisters frontman confirmed he and Elton John, who previously collaborated on song 'I Don't Feel Like Dancin,'' are writing a new musical.

"I write musicals. I'm working on my second musical now with Elton John," he said, unable to offer up additional details at this time.

He added: "I wish I could say! We haven't made an official announcement about it, but I'm very excited."

When his involvement with BENT was initially announced, Shears said: "Getting cast in 'Bent' thrills the hell out of me. Not only do I get to write the music for my number in the show, but I get to act on stage for the first time in my adult life. Which is terrifying. But then I just remind myself that I've already been on stage for years, and now I get to learn some new tricks. On top of working with Moises and this cast, it's just a great play," Shears previously said when his involvement with BENT was initially announced.

Set in Germany in the 1930s, "Bent" follows the struggles of gay men trying to survive in Nazi Germany, in particular two men who, in the midst of the darkest moments of mankind, manage to give and receive love and find strength in each other. The Taper production is the first major U.S. revival of BENT since the Broadway premiere in 1979, when it was nominated for a Tony Award for Best Play.

The monumental career of international singer/songwriter and performer Elton John has spanned more than five decades. He is one of the top selling solo artists of all time, with 35 gold and 25 platinum albums, and he has sold more than 250 million records worldwide. John holds the record for the biggest selling single of all time, "Candle in the Wind," which sold 37 million copies. In 2014, a Special Anniversary Edition of Elton's 1973 album, Goodbye Yellow Brick Road, was released. Additionally, John was the first artist honored by the Billboard Touring Conference with its Legend of Live award. He continues to tour all over the world, including his current 3-year residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas called "The Million Dollar Piano." The smash-hit stage production of Billy Elliot, for which John composed the music, was nominated for a record-tying 15 TONY AWARDS and won 10 including Best Musical. John received an Academy Award for The Lion King and TONY AWARDS for both The Lion King and Aida. Since 1992, the Elton John AIDS Foundation has raised more than $300 million for HIV prevention, treatment, and advocacy programs across the globe. In 1998, the Queen of England knighted him Sir Elton John, CBE. In 2004, John received the Kennedy Center Honor for his lifetime contributions to American culture and excellence through the performing arts, and in 2013, Elton was the first recipient of the BRITs Icon Award.
