This week JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR tentatively set a July 1 closing date "unless business improves" and SISTER ACT will shutter on August 26. Meanwhile, Mike Tyson: UNDISPUTED TRUTH will hit Broadway for a limited run and THE AIMEE PROJECT is aiming for a fall opening night.

In this week's casting news, film and stage actor Bobby Cannavale will lead GLENGARRY GLEN ROSS alongside Al Pacino, and recent Tony Award-winner Christian Borle will depart PETER AND THE STARCATCHER on June 30, to be succeeded by Matthew Saldivar (last seen in the current revival of A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE). Michelle Gomez, Brian F. O'Byrne and more will join Jake Gyllenhall in IF THERE IS I HAVEN'T FOUND IT YET; both NEWSIES star Jeremy Jordan and Oscar winner Jennifer Hudson are headed for SMASH on NBC; Cherry Jones is slated to lead THE GLASS MENAGERIE at A.R.T. under the direction of ONCE's John Tiffany; Stephen Pasquale has joined Kelli O'Hara and more in FAR FROM HEAVEN at the Williamstown Theatre Festival prior to a Playwrights Horizons run; Kate Shindle, Michael Arden and more took place in a reading of NERDS this week; and Jill Paice will lead REBECCA as "I" along with Ryan Silverman as "Maxim de Winter" in REBECCA this fall.

Composer-lyricist and three-time Tony Award winner Richard Adler died Thursday at 90 years old. In addition to his Tony Awards - for PAJAMA GAME, DAMN YANKEES and KWAMINA, Adler is a member of the Songwriter’s Hall of Fame and a recipient of the ASCAP-Richard Rodgers Award. Take a look back at Adler's impressive career.
