Sarah Hyland Signs on for Lifetime & History's BONNIE & CLYDE Miniseries

SARAH HYLANd is going from a Modern Family to a slightly more criminal one.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the young actress has officially signed on to join Lifetime and History's upcoming four-part miniseries chronicling the life of the titular young vigilante duo. The special stars Emile Hirsch as the infamous Clyde Barrow, and Holliday Grainger (THE BORGIAS) as Bonnie Parker.

Hyland takes on the role of Blanche Barrow, "the wife of Clyde's brother Buck (Lane Garrison) and the famed outlaw's partner in crime in the Barrow Gang."

The actress joins also previously announced acclaimed actors William Hurt and Holly Hunter.

Bruce Beresford is set to direct the special, which will air simultaneously on both networks with Sony Pictures TV and Storyline Entertainment Producing. The series, written by John Rice and Joe Batteer, will be executive produced by Neil Meron and Craig Zadan of SMASH.
