This holiday season will be even brighter for many San Diego kids and families thanks to the San Diego Padres' sponsorship of the popular holiday show Jingle to be presented by the San Diego Gay Men's Chorus at the Balboa Theatre on Dec. 10 and 11.

The partnership includes significant community outreach targeting San Diego County LGBT youth, local students, military, first responders and their families and organizations supporting and providing services to the LGBT community.

"Jingle is a festive and entertaining holiday tradition in our community," said Padres President and CEO Mike Dee. "The Padres are proud to support the San Diego Gay Men's Chorus and to provide the opportunity for many San Diegans to experience this special show for the first time."

"We are very proud to partner with the San Diego Padres," said Bob Lehman, Executive Director. "Not only are they supporting the LGBT performing arts, but with their help, many LGBT youth and families in difficult circumstances will get to come out and join us for a really fun and festive holiday show."

Now in its 31st year, the wintery and wonderful spectacular is one of San Diego's most favorite family holiday traditions. The 160-voice chorus of tenors, baritones and basses will present lush renditions of "Silent Night," "I'll Be Home for Christmas," "Still, Still, Still," "I'll Be Home for Christmas" and "Over the River." And there will be plenty of holiday fun with Frozen's "Do You Wanna Build a Snowman," the hilarious "Recycle the Fruitcake" and an insider's look at how Broadway and Hollywood stars might celebrate the holidays

Jingle tickets are now available at SDGMC.org or by calling the Balboa Theatre at (619) 570-1100. Tickets start at $23 and range to $70 for preferred seating for shows on Saturday, Dec. 10 at 8 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 11 at 3 p.m. For an additional $35, ticket buyers may enjoy early entry to attend the Director's Prelude reception and hear first-hand from acclaimed Artistic Director RC Haus about the upcoming show. Guests will receive complimentary hors d'oeuvres and a beverage.

Customers may save ticket fees by purchasing in person at San Diego Theatres Ticketing Services at Third Avenue and B Street at the Civic Theatre concourse weekdays, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The Balboa Theatre is located at 868 Fourth Avenue adjacent to the Horton Plaza shopping center in downtown San Diego with Horton Plaza parking validation for $10 available in the theatre lobby.
