Sally Field to Speak at Lynn Sage Cancer Research Foundation's Fall Benefit Luncheon, 10/14

Lynn Sage Cancer Research Foundation (LSCRF) has announced Academy Award, Emmy and Golden Globe-winning actress, director and producer Sally Field as Guest Speaker at its Annual Fall Benefit Luncheon on Tuesday, October 14 at the Hilton Chicago, 720 South Michigan Ave. Proceeds will support innovative contributions to breast cancer research and educational programs, as well as fellowships, at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center of Northwestern University.

LSCRF, Chicago's breast cancer organization, also will "Light the Way to Find a Cure," turning Chicago's skyline pink to raise awareness throughout the month of October.

The Lynn Sage Cancer Research Foundation's Annual Fall Benefit Luncheon is co-chaired by D'Rita Robinson and Lisa Saul. The luncheon will begin at 11 a.m. A silent purse auction to "Purse-sue the Cure" will feature new and collectible handbags from preeminent retailers, upscale boutiques and private collections. Since its inception in 1985, LSCRF has raised nearly $30 million toward advancing the understanding of breast cancer. For the last 23 years, LSCRF has been affiliated with Northwestern Medicine, helping to fund research at the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center in novel treatments, education and early detection of breast cancer. LSCRF also funds fellowships in areas such as breast surgery, medical oncology and breast reconstruction to ensure that more patients have access to professionals with advanced training in the treatment of breast cancer.
