Looking for an evening of hilarity? Come see the City Theatre's first ever night of one act plays -- Summer Shorts -- running this weekend, August 15 - 17 at St. Petersburg City Theatre. They're only ten minutes each, and each one is an adventure in itself. If you don't like the third or seventh, there's always the fourth or eighth to look forward to!

Tickets are just $15, $10 for students; Children under 12 - one free with each adult. Seating is general admission. Show times are 8pm on Friday and Saturday, with a 2pm matinee on Sunday afternoon. All of our plays are family-friendly and appropriate for any age. Our actors are from ten to eighty, and all talented!

Summer Shorts will feature a variety of family friendly one-acts showcasing the best in local and national talent. Ten plays were chosen from over 300 submissions from all around the globe.

The list of plays includes:

The Gospel According to Bowser, written by Dan Borengasser and directed by Todd Anthony.

The Kiss, written by Mark Harvey Levine and directed by Kirk Borlando.

Misfortune, written by Mark Harvey Levine and directed by Stephen Bell.

Dating 101, written by Tom Deiker and directed by Olga Kruse.

Cluck! Cluck!, written by David H Smith and directed by David Middleton.

In Transition, written by Terry Riley and directed by Elliot Swift & Mary Brophy.

Subtext, written by Kim Carney and directed by Elliot Swift.

Monsters Under My Bed, written by Tom Deiker and directed by Robin Sterling.

The Stand-In, written by Brett Hursey and directed by Stephen Bell.

The House Call, written by Joan Petitti and directed by Mary Brophy.
