Has anyone noticed the cute, shameless plugging the contestants of DANCING WITH THE STARS partake in on Twitter? These guys are synergistic, cross-promoting, social media moguls!

Example 1: Kirstie Alley asked Kristin Chenoweth for a sympathy vote this weekend. Cheno was naturally happy to oblige. She's Broadway/the planet's resident "nice girl," after all.
Example 2: Joey Fatone, no longer of NSYNC fame, (because no one remembers he was ever really in NYSYNC) puts out his voting number multiple times a day.

I’m all for this. I mean, hey, when you’re given a choice between two things you probably can’t do (the jive or quickstep) and are forced to give it the ‘ol heave-ho on national television, there’s nothing wrong with trying to land as many votes as possible. Who cares what methods you use. Let us not forget, Mitt Romney purchased followers on Twitter! I mean, it doesn’t get much worse than that.

We’ll see if Alley’s Twitter pleas can keep her on stage for another week, but as Bruno so wonderfully said: “The girl works hard for her money...you placed it beautifully you raunchy momma.” Yeah, “raunchy momma.” Yikes. Feel those goose bumps?

For now, here’s a little by-the-numbers breakdown of tonight’s episode:

Melissa Rycroft and Tony Dovolani: Jive, 23.5/30
Bristol Palin and Mark Ballas: Quickstep, 18/30
Helio Castroneves and Chelsie Hightower: Jive, 23/30
Apollo Anton Ohno and Karina Smirnoff: Quickstep, 24.5/30
Sabrina Bryan and Louis Van Amstel: Quickstep, 26/30
Kirstie Alley and Maks Chmerkovskiy: Jive, 21/30
Emmitt Smith and Cheryl Burke: Quickstep, 22.5/30
Drew Lachey and Anna Trebunskaya: Jive, 22.5/30
Joey Fatone and Kym Johnson: Quickstep, 22.5/30
Shawn Johnson and Derek Hough: Jive, 25/30
Kelly Monaco and Val Chmerkovskiy: Quickstep, 22/30
Gilles Marini and Peta Murgatroyd: Jive, 25.5/30

There was a little bit of a shake-up this week, with the premiere's favorite, Emmitt Smith, tumbling quickly down the board. In addition, Sabrina Bryan, of CHEETAH GIRLS fame (haha), has claimed the top spot.

What do you guys think of the all-star season thus far? Who do you want to see run the daytime talk show gauntlet come December?

As always, be sure to check back tomorrow around 10:30ish PM (EST) for BroadwayWorld's recap of the next elimination episode!
