This week, Maury Yeston, the Tony Award winning composer of classics scores for Broadway's NINE, TITANIC, GRAND HOTEL, in addition to The Royal Family, sat down with The New York Post's Michael Riedel and Susan Haskins on Theater Talk.  Theater Talk, the series devoted to the world of the stage, is co-hosted by Michael Riedel, Broadway columnist for the New York Post and series producer Susan Haskins. Also nominated for an Oscar for the score to the recent NINE film starring Daniel Day-Lewis, Penelope Cruz, Nicole Kidman, Kate Hudson, Marion Cotillard, Judi Dench, Fergie, and Sophia Loren, Yeston serves on the Board of the Songwriters Hall of Fame. He is also President of the Kleban Foundation, serves on the editorial boards of Musical Quarterly and the Kurt Weill Foundation Publication Project and on the advisory board of the Yale University Press Broadway Series. He was the Director of the BMI Lehman Engel Musical Theater Workshop in New York City for two decades beginning in 1982.

Additional credits include his musical version of the novel The Phantom of the Opera called Phantom (not to be confused with Andrew Lloyd Webber's version) that has enjoyed numerous productions in the U.S. and around the world. He has also written a number of other off-Broadway musicals, a song cycle, a Cello Concerto, and other pieces.

Theater Talk is taped at CUNY-TV Studios in New York City. The Executive Producer for CUNY TV is Bob Isaacson, the Producer of Theater Talk is Steven Doloff and Associate Producers are Rossmary Cruz and Vanessa Mourner. It is directed by Adam Walker with engineering by John Harvi and lighting design by Jonathan Belcher. The show is edited by Larry Guo, Quan Ou and Sylvester Lukasiewicz.

Theater Talk, a weekly expose of world theater, airs on PBS Friday nights (PBS/Thirteen) and 5 times weekly on CUNY TV. Theater Talk is also telecast every Thursday night on PBS Station NJN, which is available to all over-the-air digital and cable TV viewers in the NYC area.
