Many know Carol Channing for her work on the Broadway stage, but she was also the first-ever solo artist to perform during a Super Bowl Halftime Show. In the video, Channing surprises unsuspecting Bingo players with a spontaneous Halftime performance, as part of Pepsi's "Get Hyped for Halftime" campaign. Among the Bingo players was Rory O'Conner, who actually attended Super Bowl IV in 1970 when Channing originally performed. Check it out below!

The video was directed by Chris Mantzaris and produced by Emmy Award-winning production company MRB Productions, and its team of Executive Producers Matthew Brady and Astrid Downs and Head of Production Luke Watson.

With ten Broadway shows to her credit, Channing is perhaps most recognized for creating the role of Lorelei Lee in Gentleman Prefer Blondes (Ziegfeld Theatre, Dec 8, 1949) and Dolly Gallagher Levi in Hello Dolly! She is the recipient of three Tony Awards (including one for lifetime achievement), a Golden Globe and an Oscar nomination.
