Harry Kullijian Foundation For The Arts is dedicated to restoring the arts to our nation's public schools in an effort to provide a complete and adequate education that includes a comprehensive, quality arts education as part of the core curriculum to every child in America.
The Foundation's primary goals are to raise awareness, on a national level, of the vital need for the arts in our schools while building a grass-roots coalition of parents, teachers, communities, community leaders and celebrated individuals who will advocate for, and insist upon, restoring the arts to our children's core curriculum, and to raise monies to support bringing the arts back to our nation's schools including, in some cases, funding the salaries of arts teachers in communities with the greatest need. National research provides overwhelming evidence that children who participate in the arts perform better academically, are less likely to drop out of school and the arts are key to developing creativity, communication, self-esteem and tolerance and respect for the differences in others.
