NahNotOutsideMyHouse! Productions Inc. in association with Stage 72 presents the world premiere reading of Charles Messina's new play "An Honest Woman." Leading the stellar cast in this invitation only reading is former Sopranos star Jason Cerbone, who played the role of Jackie April Jr. on the hit HBO Series.
Messina's new play tells the tale of the Caponetti family and what happens when the man of the house (Cerbone) is incarcerated. His wife, Rosemarie (played by Gina Ferranti), struggles to keep her family together, both financially and emotionally, in her husband's absence. The play is in many ways the anti-Mob Wives, as it depicts the reality, heartache, and humiliation a family must endure when a loved one is imprisioned. Rounding out the cast are Maria DiDomenico, Steven LaChioma, and Annabelle Attanasio (daughter of Donnie Brasco screenwriter and House producer Paul Attanasio.)
Messina has become a strong voice on the NY Theater scene. In addition to directing the long-running show The Accidental Pervert, starring Andrew Goffman, he also has his autobiographical comedy A Room of My Own, starring Mario Cantone and Ralph Macchio being developed for Broadway by Pippin producers Bruce Robert Harris and Jack Batman. Messina has also penned the musical The Wanderer about the life and music of Dion, being produced by Ted Kurdyla.
"An Honest Woman" will be a one-time only reading at Stage 72, 158 West 72nd Street on Thursday June 27th at 2pm. Further information can be obtained by calling (212) 252-6910.
