Cynthia Nixon and Daniel Sullivan will join SDC Foundation on Monday June 20, 2016 for a One-on-One Conversation about the joys and challenges of directing new plays and the director-actor relationship. The event will take place at the National Opera Center in New York City.

Emmy, Tony and Grammy Award-winner Cynthia Nixon is an accomplished actor and director who recently wrapped her run of simultaneously directing two New York City plays, the New Group's Steve, which made its world premiere in late November, starring Mario Cantone, and MotherStruck! starring Staceyann Chin at The Culture Project. Tony Award and Callaway Award-winning director Daniel Sullivan's Sylvia, starring Matthew Broderick and Julie White, opened on Broadway last fall. His production of Troilus and Cressida can be seen at Shakespeare in the Park this summer.

SDC Foundation's One-on-One Conversations illuminate the creative processes, secret mottos, and personal and professional experiences that guide today's luminary directors and choreographers as they forge artistic careers in a profession that has no handbook. These intimate and dynamic conversations between today's most successful artists offer audiences rare insights into the challenging and ever-changing world of theatre making.
