SALAMANDER STARTS OVER will premiere at NY International Fringe Festival. The words every teenage punk dreads: ALL-BOYS CATHOLIC SCHOOL. But this isn't your average preparatory education. Eccentric teachers. Militant coaches. Dance-fighting students. Add these with the love of a Cuban mother and see how Salamander Starts Over.

Armando Merlo (Playwright/actor) theater credits include LINE by Israel Horovitz (13th Street Rep), The Night of the Iguana, Twelfth Night and Welcome to the Moon. Film/TV: Sesame Street, Speed of Love, Nacho Mountain, Free Country (Best Actor, NYC International Film Festival). Armando recently starred in the short film Please Say a Command, written by Steve Monarque and starring Jerry Stiller, which is set to release early next year. Armando was trained by Joanna Beckson and is a graduate of Penn State University. He has a French Bulldog named Hippo.

Leigh Ann Pedra (Director) directed the original work shopped production of Salamander Starts Over and recently directed a sold-out run of Pizza Man. She also appears alongside Jerry Stiller in the short-film Please Say a Command. Leigh Ann studied acting with Joanna Beckson and John Gould Rubin.
