The Gallery at New World Stages, the two floor exhibition
space at New York's
preeminent home for Off-Broadway productions in the heart of the theater
district, will present the art of Rosie O'Donnell, opening on October 9 and
continuing on exhibition through December 2.
Beverley D Mac Keen, New World Stages' Executive Director,
explains, "To me, her work, her compositions and materials, explore so many
levels simultaneously: she balances anger and inspiration, hope and hurt,
isolation and inclusion to ultimately poise on the wonderful point of solace."
Rosie O'Donnell is a 13-time Emmy Award-winning American comedienne,
talk show host, television personality, celebrity blogger, gay rights activist,
film, television, and stage actress. Rosie has taken her popularity and put it

For All Kids Foundation," in 1997. Since its inception, the foundation has
raised more than $56 million and awarded more than $22 million dollars in
grants to over 1,400 child-related non-profit organizations to benefit
low-income families across the country. This past year, Ms. O'Donnell
established a fund to provide $3 million dollars to children and families
displaced by Katrina. In 2003, Ms. O'Donnell established "Rosie's Broadway
Kids," a program that provides in-school, after-school and summer instruction
in musical theater to the public school children of New York. She was last seen as moderator on
the tenth season of ABC's "The View. This month, she will release her second
book called Celebrity Detox with Warner books.
