MELBOURNE, Victoria

"You're Reiki power is like an aura, it's a glow and you are radiating out... no darkness can penetrate you," says Hawayo Takata, the woman who introduced the healing art of Reiki to the Western world. After 15 years of research, author Rose Gardener presents a guide to enhance the body and the mind through the art of Reiki, which she has expertise in, along with psychology and human behavioral science. She invites her readers to learn these ways in "Rose Coloured Glasses."

According to Gardener, as the universe enters into the Age of Aquarius, humans are enveloped into a realm of possibilities in healing through the powers of Reiki, an ancient Japanese oriental healing technique. The author says that Reiki healings work its magic among the various illnesses that have boggled medical practitioners, including scoliosis, epilepsy, schizophrenia. She covers these topics and presents scientific explanations, and shows readers the truth regarding Sigmund Freud, hence questioning the underpinning of psychiatry.

By showing readers what lies beyond the "Rose Coloured Glasses," Gardener seeks to remove prejudices, false fears, and provides interested parties with a greater understanding of many incurable illnesses.

"The majority of humanity are capable of opening their minds - this is a refreshing and empowering feeling which leads to further growth," Gardener says.
