The Ridgefield Playhouse will turn into a design house on Friday, May 16, at 6:30 p.m., when "Women That Rock", women who give back to their communities, will model the "inner rock star" duds of designer Lauren DiNardo at her Rock and Roll Couture Fashion show. Wine and food tastings, fashion, cupcakes, rock and roll make-up tips from ADAM Broderick Salon & Spa, auction items, Hands That Rock and more will be available in the lobby before the fashion spectacular. Guest speaker is Donna Palomba, who founded Jane Doe No More, Inc., a non-profit that helps victims of sexual assault after her experiences with the system as a victim herself. Her story was featured on Dateline NBC, and she has written a book about her 15-year struggle to find her identity. Ms. Palomba's inspirational story will be followed by a rock and roll couture fashion show, featuring original designs by Lauren Dinardo, and starring celebrity models and surprise guests. This event is part of Hamlet Hub's "A Whole New You" Series?and is underwritten by FormFitting Fitness of Brookfield, CT.

"To rock is to leave a positive impact on your community," Dinardo said of the theme of her rock 'n' roll couture. ?"It celebrates women who do that." Lauren DiNardo has developed a cult following in musicians' circles and in the Manhattan nightclub scene. She is launching an exclusive ready-to-wear collection called Live Music Couture available to the public. Through her clothing, Lauren captures her love of music and movement in an electrifying collection, which represents a fusion of sophistication and rock and roll.

For tickets ($25 with all proceeds going to Jane Doe No More, Inc.), call the box office at 203-438-5795, or order online at ridgefieldplayhouse.org. The Ridgefield Playhouse is a not-for-profit performing arts center located at 80 East Ridge, parallel to Main Street, Ridgefield, CT.
