If [or When] the Roof Falls In is a theatrical experience set in The Library, a space where you can reference any individual memory in human history. Surrounded by images of the past and possible futures, Ethan and Charlotte debate the value of memory; Charlotte clings desperately to the past, and Ethan can't wait to let his go. Helped by a mischievous janitor and a whimsical intern, they must decide whether to save or destroy The Library, and with it, the institution of memory. There are no easy answers here. What do you want to forget? What do you need to remember?

If [or When] the Roof Falls In is made possible through an Artist Residency from CAP21, the support of Matrix-L'Oreal and from contributions of individual donors. The experience, lead by Artistic Directors Gemma Kaneko and Grant McDonald, features performances from Brittany Allen, Anna Lauren Farrell, Kirin McCrory, Daniel Patrick Smith and Matthew Webster and the immersive designs of Mark Costello (Media), John Eckert (Lighting), Benjamin Furiga (Sound), and Christopher and Justin Swader (Scenic).
