Actor's Express presents Jonathan Larson's groundbreaking rock musical Rent, July 10 - August 9, 2015.

Winner of the Tony Award for Best Musical and the Pulitzer Prize for Drama, Rent is reimagined in an immersive new production directed by Actor's Express Artistic Director Freddie Ashley.

"Rent was the soundtrack to my twenties," says Ashley. "It is nearing 20 years old, and, even though it was written about a very specific time in history, it has never lost its relevance or edge. That is a rare thing, indeed, and the earmark of a true classic. I'm excited to reexplore."

Rent is the groundbreaking musical that makes us all want to live "La Vie Boheme." Winner of the Tony Award for Best Musical and the Pulitzer Prize for Drama, Actor's Express presents Jonathan Larson's explosive adaptation of Puccini's La Boheme in a pulsing, reimagined new production like nothing you've seen before. From "One Song Glory" to the iconic "Seasons of Love," the music of Rent will transport you back to the East Village, where life is full of possibilities for those who are young, idealistic and unafraid.

Performances of Rent are Wednesdays through Fridays at 8 PM, Saturdays at 2 PM and 8 PM, and Sundays at 2 PM. Tickets are $26-$45 and may be purchased online at actors-express.com or by calling 404.607.7469. Actor's Express is located on the west side of Atlanta in the King Plow Arts Center at 887 W. Marietta Street, Suite J-107, Atlanta, Georgia 30318.

Since its founding in 1988, Actor's Express has sought to nurture the next generation of playwrights through workshops, readings, and full productions of new plays; to develop and nurture Atlanta's artistic community through theatre training; to catalyze the dialogue essential to the vitality of our neighborhood and our city; and to enhance Atlanta's reputation nationally as a thriving center for live performance.
