This Week's Featured Regional Theater: Stageworks in Tampa, FL

Stageworks Theatre is Tampa's oldest and most highly awarded professional theatre in the Channel District. The mission of the Stageworks Theatre is to provide the highest quality professional theatre which respects, ignites and celebrates the human spirit while challenging the thresholds of intolerance and insensitivity.

Stageworks also features a Student Outreach Program. Stageworks is reaching out to kids who are troubled, or at risk. They are using the theater to help teach the kids right from wrong.

Stageworks upcoming production includes MOMologues 2 - Off to School by Lisa Rafferty, January 31 - February 17, 2013. The riotous sequel to The MOMologues, this play offers a frank and funny look at the elementary school years, from homework hell to multitasking mania. A sassy and irreverent look at the "toughest job you.ll ever love." A tribute to women.

The rest of the 2013 lineup includes: Circle Mirror Transformation by Annie Baker, March 7-24, 2013; John Steinbeck's Of Mice and Men, May 2 - 19, 2013; and How The Garcia Girls Lost Their Accents by Karen Zacarias, based on the acclaimed novel by Julia Alvarez.
