As Deadline reported tonight, ReelzChannel and Muse Entertainment are considering a sequel to its hit miniseries, THE KENNEDYS.

Should the duo move forward with the sequel series, it would reportedly be based upon J. Randy Taraborrelli's book, AFTER CAMELOT, originally published this past spring, and follow the events immediately following Robert Kennedy's assassination. No writer is currently attached - and neither are showrunner Joel Surnow or Asylum Entertainment, which produced the original alongside Muse.

THE KENNEDYS was originally set to air on History in 2011, who purchased the rights, but later dropped it. Every other major network passed on the series before ReelzChannel picked it up.

Boasting an all-star cast led by Emmy(R)-nominee Greg Kinnear as John F. Kennedy (JFK) and Barry Pepper who won the Emmy Award for Lead Actor in a Mini-Series or Movie for his portrayal of Robert F. Kennedy, The Kennedys also featured powerful performances from Katie Holmes as Jacqueline Kennedy and Emmy-nominated Tom Wilkinson OBE as Joseph Kennedy, Sr. Nominated for 10 Emmy Awards, the mini-series won a total of four as well as three Gemini Awards, a History Makers International Award, a Directors Guild of America Award and a New York Festivals International TV & Film Grand Trophy Award. The Kennedys is a Muse Entertainment Enterprises production in association with Asylum Entertainment.
