Mauritius playwright Theresa Rebeck to be guest of honor at Lark Theatre's "An Evening with Theresa Rebeck" Lark Play Development Center is the New York-based theatre company where Rebeck wrote Mauritius and other plays on Tuesday, October 2 at 6PM (cocktails and dinner) at Angus McIndoe (258 W. 44 St.).

Guests include Rebeck, Tony-winning playwright and Lark board member David Henry Hwang, playwright and Lark playwright advisor Arthur Kopit, along with 60 special guests.

"Theresa Rebeck, whose newest play Mauritius opens on Broadway October 4 at the Manhattan Theatre Club's Biltmore Theatre, will be the guest of honor at this dinner hosted by the Lark Theatre/Lark Play Development Center, where she is a playwright-in-residence and playwright advisor.  The Lark is, in fact, where Rebeck has written Mauritius and her other recent works The Scene and The Water's Edge," state press notes.

Joining Rebeck, Hwang and Kopit will be the Lark Play Development Center's producing director John Eisner.  Following the cocktails, dinner and evening's chat with Rebeck, the guests will retire to the Biltmore for that evening's performance of Mauritius.
