Reagle Music Theatre Announces Auditions For Holiday Revue 10/30

Reagle Music Theatre of Greater Boston invites children and adults to audition this Saturday, October 30, for its spectacular holiday revue "It's ChristmasTime" at Waltham High School, 617 Lexington Avenue, Waltham, Mass. Each year more than 100 children and dozens of adults perform a wide range of holiday music ranging from traditional choral pieces to updated jazz and big band numbers. Now in its 28th edition, "It's ChristmasTime" is an annual seasonal favorite.

Adults from high school age and up will audition at 10:30 a.m. in chorus room 107. Reagle seeks superb singers to join the singing ensemble. Adults are asked to bring sheet music for a popular Christmas song plus a favorite Christmas carol. They will be asked to sing 16 bars from the former and harmony on the latter. An accompanist will be provided.

Children will be auditioning for roles as Raggedy Anns and Andies, Santas, and Clara in the "Teddy Bear's Nutcracker." The schedule is as follows: girls in grades 6, 7 and 8 at 9 a.m.; girls in grades 4 and 5 at 10 a.m.; boys in grades 4 and up at 10:30 a.m. Auditions for Clara are at 11 a.m. An alternate audition for girls involved in Pop Warner will be held on Sunday, October 31 at 4 p.m.

One hundred boys and girls in primary grades 1 to 4 are also sought to play Elves. Any child willing and able to participate, focus and attend all rehearsals is welcome. The first rehearsal is scheduled for Saturday, October 30 at 9:30 a.m. in chorus room 107. All interested children accompanied by at least one parent or guardian must attend. Parents will meet with the director to receive important information.

Performances are Fridays, December 3 and 10 at 7:30 p.m., Saturdays, December 4 and 11 at 1 and 5 p.m., and Sundays, December 5 and 12 at 1 and 5 p.m.
