Sony Masterworks recording artist Ramin Karimloo returns home to Toronto this fall to star as Jean Valjean in the Toronto premiere of Cameron Mackintosh's acclaimed new production of Boublil & Schönberg's legendary musical LES MISERABLES. Featuring glorious new staging and dazzlingly re-imagined scenery inspired by the paintings of Victor Hugo, the production begins its limited engagement at the Princess of Wales Theatre on September 27. Karimloo's debut CD, HUMAN HEART, will be available with two specially added exclusive LES MISERABLES bonus tracks on Tuesday, September 24, 2013.

Produced by Tom Nichols (Celine Dion, Nick Lachey, Kilie Minogue) HUMAN HEART, includes songs he performed on-stage in his leading roles, including "Bring Him Home" and "I Dreamed A Dream" from LES MISERABLES and "Till I Hear You Sing" from Love Never Dies and "Music of the Night" from The Phantom of the Opera. The album also features tracks written by some of contemporary music's biggest writers including Greg Wells (Adele, Katy Perry), Don Mescall (Rascall Flatts), Ryan Tedder (Leona Lewis) and Duncan Sheik and Steve Sater (Spring Awakening). Ramin has co-written four new songs for the album and in his own distinctive style covers songs by Muse, indie favourite Jay Clifford and Bryan Adams.

Iranian-born, Canadian actor Ramin is unquestionably one of London's musical theatre greats. He has garnered critical acclaim as one of, if not THE greatest Phantoms for his performance in the West End production of The Phantom of the Opera. He has achieved a great deal, including performing alongside Colm Wilkinson in both anniversary productions of LES MISERABLES and of The Phantom of the Opera. He recently starred in the PBS broadcast of The Phantom of the Opera 25th Anniversary Concert at The Royal Albert Hall; and with Nick Jonas in the LES MISERABLES 25th Anniversary Concert. He has appeared in London's West End in many leading roles, including originating the starring role in The Phantom of the Opera sequel Love Never Dies. Ramin is the youngest actor to portray the Phantom and has been nominated for the prestigious Olivier Award (the British equivalent of the Tony Award), been recognized as the favourite leading man to perform in London's West End Musical Theatre bywhatsonstage.com, and won the award for the 2011 Best Actor category for the prestigious Viewers' Choice Theatre Awards at Whatsonstage.com.
