TheatreWorks, the nationally acclaimed theatre of Silicon Valley, presents The Lake Effect, written by Rajiv Joseph and running March 4-29, 2015 at the Lucie Stern Theatre.

In the newest drama from acclaimed playwright Rajiv Joseph (The North Pool, Bengal Tiger at the Baghdad Zoo), pungent memories of tandoors and tikka masala linger in a shuttered Indian restaurant, where the owner's grown-up children ponder the legacy of their family business, their father's mysterious bookie, and their suddenly entangled lives. Winner of the Joseph Jefferson Award for Best New Play, The Lake Effect offers a spicy menu of family secrets, sibling rivalry, and surprising reconciliation.

The production plays previews Wednesday, March 4 to Friday, March 6, 2015. Press Opening: Saturday, March 7, 2015. Closes: Sunday, March 29, 2015. Schedule: Previews: 8:00 PM; Tuesdays and Wednesdays: 7:30 PM; Thursdays and Fridays: 8:00 PM; Saturdays: 2:00 PM, 8:00 PM; and Sundays: 2:00 PM, 7:00 PM. All performances run in the Lucie Stern Theatre, 1305 Middlefield Rd, Palo Alto, Calif.
