Back in September, Rachel Zoe announced that her next business venture in the Zoe empire would be a series of blowout salons on Manhattan and beyond. Ms. Zoe and business partner Robin Moraetes will introduce DreamDry, a hair salon reserved for blowout hairstyling only. The first location will be at 35 W. 21st Street and signage is already posted.

"Rachel and I decided to join forces to bring this concept to the next level," said Ms. Moraetes, who was formerly with Creative Artists Agency, a marketing firm known for representing companies such as Bliss Spa, Starwood Hotels and Coca-Cola. "We're developing an extremely innovative experience, all based on personalization."

As for their competetors in the city like Drybar and Blow who already have a strong presence and have been growing? Ms. Moraetes and Ms. Zoe are not worried.

"We are completely different," said the former. "We are not marketing ourselves on a shtick, whether 24 hours or parties, though we do do that-we're focusing on hair."

A second location is already slated for DreamDry on West 57th Street between 8th and 9th Avenues - right near the Hearst building. Pretty smart location! You can stay up to date and follow their progress on their Facebook page.
