The cast of the five-time Tony nominated hit musical, ROCK OF AGES, will continue to rock eight times a week through summer 2010. Tom Lenk joins the cast as "Franz," the role he originated in the Los Angeles and Las Vegas productions, beginning Monday, September 14, 2009 for a six month limited engagement. Mr. Lenk is best known for his portrayal as "Andrew Wells" on television's "Buffy the Vampire Slayer." Mr. Lenk is taking over for Wesley Taylor, who will play his final performance on Sunday, September 13. Mr. Taylor is leaving to join the cast of the upcoming production of The Addams Family.

Joining Constantine Maroulis, in his Tony Award Nominated performance as "Drew," through summer 2010 are James Carpinello (Stacee Jaxx), Adam Dannheisser (Dennis), Mitchell Jarvis (Lonny), Michele Mais (Justice), and Lauren Molina (Regina). Paul Schoeffler, currently on leave, returns Monday, October 26 and will also be with the show through summer 2010. Don Stephenson is playing the role of "Hertz" until Mr. Schoeffler returns. As previously announced, Kerry Butler will join the cast for six months as "Sherrie" on Monday, September 21, 2009.

ROCK OF AGES currently stars Constantine Maroulis, James Carpinello, Adam Dannheisser, Mitchell Jarvis, Michele Mais, Lauren Molina, Don Stephenson, Wesley Taylor, Savannah Wise, Bahiyah Sayyed Gaines, Ericka Hunter, Jeremy Jordan, Michael Minarik, Angel Reed, Eric Sciotto, Becca Tobin, Katherine Tokarz, Andre Ward, Tad Wilson and Jeremy Woodard.

Tom Lenk originated the role of "Franz" in the Los Angeles and Las Vegas productions of ROCK OF AGES and is now making his Broadway debut. Best known for playing "Andrew" on "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and "Angel," Tom earned much acclaim including The SF Examiner's "Top Ten Scene Stealers on TV," E!'s "Breakout Male Star" and TV Guide's "Emmy Wishlist." In addition to "Buffy," Tom has been featured on "Six Feet Under," "House," "Nip/Tuck," "How I Met Your Mother," "Samantha Who?" and "Reno 911!." His film appearances include Transformers, Date Movie, the upcoming My Girlfriend's Boyfriend (opposite Alyssa Milano) and the "Buffy" Creator Joss Whedon/ Cloverfield-writer Drew Goddard's latest collaboration Cabin in the Woods. His other theatre credits include Amy and David Sedaris' The Book of Liz - which played to sold-out audiences for over a year and became L.A.'s longest running comedy, Ann E. Wrecksick (directed by Kristin Hanggi), There's Something Living in the House that Jack Built - opposite Gregory Jbara, The Young Playwright's Festival, The Pajama Game (Reprise). Tom performs regularly at many alternative comedy shows including The Thrilling Adventure and Supernatural Hour, Mortified (L.A. and S.F.), Strangely Attractive Sketch Comedy and monthly at L.A.'s Upright Cabaret. He has also performed/written numerous solo comedy shows including Save Me From My Sister - which received rave reviews at the Hudson Backstage Theater, Internet-Semi Superstar, Will You Be My Special Friend? and Tom Lenk's Last Minute Show which ran at the Comedy Central Stage, ACME and most recently at Don't Tell Mama's.

It's ROCK OF AGES, a hilarious, feel-good love story told through the hit songs of iconic rockers Journey, Styx, REO Speedwagon, Foreigner, Pat Benatar, Whitesnake, and many more. The show is written by Chris D'Arienzo, directed by Kristin Hanggi and choreographed by Kelly Devine.

Rockin' in the on-stage band, ARSENAL, are Music Director/ keyboardist Henry Aronson, lead guitarist Joel Hoekstra (Night Ranger), drummer Jon Weber, bassist Winston Roye and guitar player Tommy Kessler. The Music Supervision, Arrangements & Orchestrations are by Ethan Popp.

Scenic design is by Beowulf Boritt, costume design is by Tony Nominee Gregory Gale, lighting design is by Jason Lyons, sound design is by Peter Hylenski, and projection design is by Zachary Borovay.

New Line Records released the Original Broadway Cast Recording digitally on June 2nd and in stores nationwide on July 7th. In the spirit of the original musical, album was helmed by seasoned hard rock musicians and producers, the album was mixed and engineered by Mike Barbiero (Guns n Roses' "Appetite for Destruction", Metallica's "And Justice For All") and produced by David Gibbs (Original Arrangements for ROCK OF AGES, Gigolo Aunts, Street Sweeper), executive produced by Janet Billig Rich, Hillary Weaver and Kurt Deutsch/SH-K-BOOM Records and co-produced by Ethan Popp (Music Supervision, Arrangements and Orchestrations for ROCK OF AGES).
