R.Evolución Latina's (RL) 3rd annual Dance-A-Thon, a fun and exciting event that will unite the community. Participants from all ages and levels will be dancing different rhythms for five straight hours at Taj Lounge on October 24th.

Participants will dance salsa, merengue, hip-hop, musical theater and other rhythms with the assistance of Broadway artists and NYC dancers who will show new steps, fun choreographies and encourage them to reach their goals. Franklyn Ayala will be DJing the entire 5 hours keeping everyone moving. Registration and warm-up activities begin at 11am and dancing starts at 12pm.

This year's event coincides with the opening of the new Broadway musical ON YOUR FEET!, the story of Gloria and Emilio Estefan. Cast member and RL Founder, Luis Salgado has invited fellow artists and friends to join him in his efforts to fundraise creating his own ON YOUR FEET team, that currently has the highest goal of $10,000.

"The Dance-A-Thon brings people together as a community for a common goal of making a difference while providing a platform to celebrate who you are and take pride in your culture and heritage through music and dance." says Luis Salgado, Founder/Artistic Director of R.Evolución Latina.

R.Evolución Latina's Dance-A-Thon, a fundraising event, will enable R.Evolución Latina to continue its goals of bringing arts to underserved communities in NYC and Latin America. Some programs include a free summer camp provided to over 200 children, Kids Beyond Broadway that provides children with tickets and access to the arts, free training in performing arts that creates leaders empowering them to make a difference and international collaborations.

"We are very grateful to the Broadway community for their continued support of our mission, especially Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDs. They have inspired us to create a fundraising event for our community of children, adults, artists and anyone that loves music and dance to come together taking ownership of our mission and its growth. This event is for everyone that is committed to making art part of the lives of every single human being." shares Denisse Ambert, Executive Director of R.Evolución Latina.
