Pulitzer Prize-Winning PROOF Opens Tonight at TheatreSquared

TheatreSquared's (T2) production of David Auburn's acclaimed drama Proof, winner of both the Pulitzer Prize for Drama and the Tony Award for Best Play, begins next week.

The play follows Catherine, who has for years cared for her father - a genius mathematician whose mind has slowly unraveled - in his Hyde Park home. When his former student Hal arrives to survey her father's cryptic scribblings, a romance begins to kindle - until Hal makes a startling discovery.

Proof, directed by Shana Gold, performs tonight, October 16 through November 2, with performances Thursdays at 7:30, Fridays at 7:30, Saturdays at 2 and 7:30, and Sundays at 2:00. The cast of Proof includes Seth Andrew Bridges, Emily Kitchens, Dan Mason, and Jonny Schremmer. The creative team includes director Shana Gold (4,000 Miles, Reasons to Be Pretty, Underneath the Lintel), scenic designer Michael J. Riha, lighting designer Shawn Irish, properties designer Ryan Breakell, costume designer Ruby Kemph, sound designer Will Eubanks, technical director Josh Tillotson, stage manager David Loranca, and assistant stage manager Shannon Jones.

The performance will run two hours and twenty minutes with one intermission and is recommended for ages 13 and up (occasional adult language and situations).
