The Public Theater will begin previews for George Brant's Grounded on Tuesday, April 7. Directed by two-time Tony Award winner Julie Taymor and featuring Academy Award winner Anne Hathaway, Grounded will run through Sunday, May 17 in the Anspacher Theater, with a new official press opening on Sunday, April 26.

Free tickets to the first preview on Tuesday, April 7 are available now via TodayTix mobile lottery. Winners will be notified by email and push notifications between 12:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. on the day of the first preview. Winners must confirm their winning tickets in the TodayTix app within one hour of being notified.

In addition to the free first preview "Free for All" Initiative, The Public and TodayTix will offer additional access to Grounded with a two for $20 lottery, furthering the innovative partnership with TodayTix and The Public's ongoing commitment to making theater accessible to everyone. During the run of Grounded, a pair of tickets will be available for each performance for $10 per ticket, beginning on April 8. The lottery will begin each day at midnight for the performance that same day, and winners will be notified three to four hours before show time. Winners will make the payment in the TodayTix app and collect the tickets at the box office.

Member tickets, starting at $60, and single tickets, starting at $85, are available now and can be accessed by calling (212) 967-7555, www.publictheater.org, or in person at the Taub Box Office at The Public Theater at Astor Place at 425 Lafayette Street. The Library at The Public is open nightly for food and drinks, beginning at 5:30 p.m., and Joe's Pub at The Public continues to offer some of the best music in the city.

In Grounded, an ace fighter pilot reassigned to a remote-controlled drone faces 12-hour shifts hunting targets from her Air Force trailer followed by 12 hours in the suburbs with her family in this award-winning new play about the complicated consequences of waging war without leaving home. Named one of the Best Plays of the year by both London's The Evening Standard and The Guardian, and winner of the Smith Prize for Political Theater.

GROUNDED features scenic design by Riccardo Hernandez, lighting design by Christopher Akerlind, sound design by Will Pickens, projection design by Peter Nigrini; original music and soundscapes by Elliot Goldenthal; and electronic music design by Richard Martinez.
