Princeton Summer Theater draws their 2016 season to a close with Sam Shepard's Fool for Love, which opens on Thursday, August 4th and runs until Sunday, August 14th. Winner of multiple Obie Awards, Sam Shepard's dramedy unfolds in a motel room in the Mojave Desert in which we find the continuously bickering former lovers May and Eddie. There, they unravel their tangled relationship, almost tearing each other apart. A dark exploration into love and family, Fool for Love shows us how our pasts surely come back to haunt us.

Following on from Stephen Sondheim and John Weidman's Assassins, Yasmina Reza's God of Carnage, and Tom Stoppard's Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead, this summer focuses on the theme of the "Other." Each of the four shows delves into the other side of a story or character and brings the audience to a deeper understanding of human nature. The theater goers will come away with a souvenir - a new perspective on what was once an old familiarity and an appreciation of the differences in all of us.

Performances for Fool for Love run August 4-7 and 11-14 with shows at 8pm Thursday through Saturday, and 2pm on Saturdays and Sundays. Performances are at the Hamilton Murray Theater located on Princeton University's campus.

Fool for Love, directed by Ogemdi Ude '16, will feature:

Olivia Nice as May

Matthew Seely as Eddie

Jake McCready as the Old Man

Conor McElwee as Martin
