Portland Revels' Robert Burns' Birthday Celebration and Pub Sing will take palce at 6:30 p.m. tonight, Jan. 27.

Every year, Revelers and community members come together to sing, eat and drink in recognition of the birthday of The National Bard of Scotland. Join Portland Revels founder, Dick Lewis, as he leads long-time and new "Burnsians" in rousing renditions of the Scottish poet's songs.

Burns (1759-1796) was a prolific poet and songwriter whose songs "celebrate love, friendship, work, and drink with often hilarious and tender sympathy." More about Robert Burns.

The pub sing takes place at the Lucky Labrador Beer Hall, 1945 Northwest Quimby Street, Portland. People will begin gathering at 6:30 p.m. and the singing will start at 7:00 p.m.

Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for children; food and drink is available for purchase from the Lucky Lab. Tickets available at http://pdxpubsings.bpt.me or at the door.
