Playing Dreidel with Judah Maccabee Reading Held At Drama Book Shop

A free reading and party will be held for Playing Dreidel with Judah Maccabee on December 22, at 6pm at The Drama Book Shop.

The shop is located at 450 East 40th Street

Come celebrate Hanukkah with at The Drama Book Shop with a books launch and reading of Playing Dreidel with Judah Maccabee, featuring Jason Liebman as Judah Maccabee and Kyrian Friedenberg as Jonathan. With music, dreidel playing, and Hanukkah fun!

The play tells the story of Jonathan, a modern boy who mysteriously finds Judah Maccabee in an abandoned room which exists simultaneously in both Jonathan's own temple and in the ancient Temple in Jerusalem. It is a celebration of Hanukkah and its ancient origins, told with gentle humor, exploring themes of: Who is a hero? and Why do we need stories?
