Playhouse on Park will premiere the 2014/2015 Young Audience series with Busytown on Saturday, November 1st at 1:00 p.m. Based on Richard Scarry's identically named children's book, the play was adapted by Kevin Kling with music by Michael Koerner. The show's cast members include Brandon Beaver, Robyn Belt, Jessie Macbeth, Steven Mooney, Victoria Mooney, and Meaghan Sullivan, all playing multiple roles. Busytown is directed by Playhouse on Park's Director of Education, Dawn Loveland. Scarry's beloved characters are brought to life as Huckle Cat (Brandon Beaver) leads the audience on a tour of the bustling Busytown. Important themes of cooperation and responsibility are sung with a light-hearted humor that the whole family can enjoy. Join Huckle Cat, Farmer Alfalfa (Robyn Belt), Sawdust Carpenter (Jessie MacBeth), Lowly Worm (Meaghan Sullivan), Betsy Bear (Victoria Mooney), and others as they work together to keep Busytown busy. Busytown will be playing from November 1-9, 2014.

Brandon Beaver is excited to be making his Playhouse on Park debut. A recent graduate of the University of Miami, Beaver's past performances include Frank (A CHORUS LINE) at the Connecticut Repertory Theatre and Patrick (GIRLS VS. BOYS) at the Adrienne Arsht Center. A graduate of Union College, Belt's past performances also include Madame Armand (IF ALL THE SKY WERE PAPER) at the WAMC Performance Arts Studio. Also making her Playhouse on Park debut is Jessie Macbeth. This Muhlenberg College graduate has played the roles of Peggy Shippen (BENEDICT ARNOLD: A NEW MUSICAL) and Mary Magdalene (JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR). Steven Mooney's past Playhouse on Park performances include William Barfee (THE 25th ANNUAL PUTNAM COUNTY SPELLING BEE) and Charlie Brown (YOU'RE A GOOD MAN CHARLIE BROWN).
