Tony Award-winning Broadway actress and recording-artist Idina Menzel performed a VIP private concert on Monday, January 15 at The Canal
Room.
Menzel performed music from her highly-anticipated up-coming
solo album "I Stand," produced by Glen Ballard, to be released in-stores
January 29. Menzel's previous solo albums include "Still I Can't Be Still" and "Here."
Recognized for her award-winning performance as Elphaba in Wicked both on Broadway and in London, Menzel also
originated the Tony Award-nominated role of Maureen in Rent and later reprised her performance in the feature film. She was most recently a star in Disney's Enchanted, the top grossing film of the
2007 holiday weekend, and also recorded the end-title song in Robert Zemeckis'
feature film Beowulf. Other movie credits include Ask The Dust, Summer of Sam and Kissing
Jessica Stein.
