The 80th Annual Academy Awards were broadcast live from the Hollywood Kodak Theatre on February 24 on ABC-TV, hosted by Jon Stewart.

Top winners included No Country for Old Men as Best Picture, by Ethan Coen and Joel Coen (who also won for Best Director and Best Adapted Screenplay); Diablo Cody for Best Original Screenplay (Juno); Daniel Day-Lewis as Best Actor (There Will Be Blood); Marion Cotillard for Best Actress (La Vie en Rose); Tilda Swinton as Best Supporting Actress (Michael Clayton); and Javier Bardem for Best Supporting Actor (No Country for Old Men).
