On Monday, March 3, the award-winning York Theatre Company (James Morgan, Producing Artistic Director) proudly inaugurated its NEO Spotlight Concert series with an evening showcasing the songs of two emerging writers in musical theatre. The event took place at the Theatre at Saint Peter's (619 Lexington Ave).

Reach the Sky: Songs by Adam Gwon featured Jill Abramovitz (Martin Short: Fame Becomes Me), Jared Gertner (The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee), Michael Hunsaker (Listen to My Heart), Natalie Weiss (Ever After) with music direction by Vadim Feichtner.

Short Story Long: The Songs of Timothy Huang featured Marie France Arcilla, Orville Mendoza (Pacific Overtures), Lauren Lebowitz and Shonn Wiley, with Doug Oberhamer (Swing!) as music director, Dave Anthony on percussion and Scott Thornton on bass.
