This past Monday marked the fifteenth edition of "Victoria Shaw: Under The Covers" in the past ten years of the Broadway at Birdland concert series That's a lot of really great music and insider stories told by some of country music's top hit-makers, superstars and up-and-comers.

This particular show was surrounded by lots of excitement, thanks to composer Shaw's brilliant cast: Erich Bergen, from the "Jersey Boys" film who sang from his new EP "Never Give Up," Desmond Child, who thrilled the crowd with his mega-hit "Livin' On A Prayer," James Dean Hicks, who sang and played a bunch of his No. 1 country songs, and this year''s Tony nominee from Les Miserables, Ramin Karimloo. Guitarist/singer Sergio Ortega lended musical excellence, and Victoria's two talented daughters, Ava and Ruby Locknar, got into the act, singing backup for one of their mom''s most beautiful tunes!

The evening was topped by an exquisitely harmonized, re-imagined bluegrass version of "Bring Him Home," Ramin''s 'eleven o''clock number' from LES MIZ. If the historic Birdland walls could talk, they'd brag about the thousands of spectacular jazz performances -- but they'd certainly give special mention to this perfect night of country.
