Following a successful Off-Off Broadway run at Manhattan Theatre Source in January, Machiavelli, a new comic play by Richard Vetere (One Shot One Kill, First Love), will open Off-Broadway at The ArcLight Theatre (152 West 71st Street – Between Broadway and Columbus Avenues) on Sunday, September 24th.  Previews began September 13th. The play is directed by Evan Bergman and will play a limited engagement through November 5th.

Presented by Elizabeth Williams and Aruba Productions for San Casciano Productions, the show features Jason Howard, Stephanie Janssen, Chip Phillips/>, Liza Vann, James Wetzel and Lex Woutas. "Machiavelli, written in comedia style, tells the story of how the world's most famous political thinker used his genius to survive and outsmart the ruthless Medici family while bringing democracy to Florence during the Renaissance in the 1500's," according to press notes.

The playing schedule is as follows: Tuesdays through Saturdays at 8PM with matinees on Saturdays at 2PM and Sundays at 3PM.  Tickets are $45.  For tickets call www.telecharge.com at (212) 239-6200.  Visit www.machiavellitheplay.com for more information.
