ProjectExplorer's benefit concert, "Inspired By...," was held on Monday, February 5th at Gibson Entertainment Showroom in Midtown. Hosted by Jamison Stern (By Jeeves), Broadway performers shared songs that have inspired them personally and professionally.

"Inspired By..." included performances by Tituss Burgess (Jersey Boys), Angel Desai (Company), Bradley Dean (Man of La Mancha), Erin Leigh Peck (Normal), and Michael Winter (Songs from an Unmade Bed). Music Direction was by Mary-Mitchell Campbell (Company).

Founded in 2003 by Jenny Buccos and Lauren Johnson, ProjectExplorer is a nonprofit organization that creates free online global travel adventures for the kindergarten to twelfth grade community. Proceeds from the event support ProjectExplorer's 2007 South Africa film and multimedia project, designed to introduce students globally to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission, the AIDS crisis, environmental issues, and recent global initiatives to end extreme poverty. The project will also feature film segments on South African theatre and playwrights, dance, cuisine, clothing, music, and other unique South African traditions.
