The New Wolsey Theatre is currently hosting the new musical version of Frank Capra's It's a Wonderful Life, featuring music and lyrics by Spend Spend Spend's Stephen Brown and a book by Brown and Francis Matthews.

It stars Paul Thornley as George Bailey, the man reassessing his life, Helen Anker as his devoted wife Mary, Kerry Washington as his mother, and Paul Leonard as the sinister Mr Potter.

It's a Wonderful Life is produced by Avalon Promotions, who broke into musical theatre with Jerry Springer - The Opera, and directed by New Wolsey artistic director Peter Rowe.
