Primary Stages (Casey Childs, Founder & Executive Producer; Andrew Leynse, Artistic Director; Elliot Fox, Managing Director) launched its 28th season on Tuesday, July 24 when HARRISON, TX: THREE PLAYS BY Horton Foote began performances.
Tony Award nominees HAllie Foote (Dividing the Estate, The Orphans’ Home Cycle) and Jayne Houdyshell (Follies, Well) will head up an ensemble featuring Devon Abner (Dividing the Estate, The Orphans’ Home Cycle), Mary Bacon (Motherhood Out Loud, Happy Now?) Jeremy Bobb (Is He Dead?, Shipwrecked!...), Alexander Cendese (Psycho Therapy, A View From the Bridge), Andrea Lynn Green (Giant, Anne and Emmett), Evan Jonigkeit (High, History Boys at Arden Theatre Company), and Jenny Dare Paulin (Dividing the Estate, The Orphans’ Home Cycle). Helmed by Tony Award nominated director Pam MacKinnon (Clybourne Park, A Lifetime Burning at Primary Stages), Harrison,TX: Three Plays by Horton Foote runs through September 15 at Primary Stages at 59E59 Theaters. Opening night is Tuesday, August 14.
In Harrison, TX: Three Plays by Horton Foote, the Pulitzer Prize winner explores the humor, darkness, and romance of the people of the titular town in three works: Blind Date, The One-Armed Man, and The Midnight Caller.
Harrison, TX: Three Plays by Horton Foote features a scenic design by Marion Williams, costume design by Kaye Voyce, lighting design by Tyler Micoleau, and original music and sound design by Broken Chord.
Harrison,TX: Three Plays by Horton Foote plays a limited engagement July 24 – September 15 at Primary Stages at 59E59 Theaters (59 East 59th Street). Opening night is Tuesday, August 14 at 7:00 pm. Performances are Tuesday-Thursday at 7:00pm, Friday at 8:00pm, Saturday at 2:00pm & 8:00pm, with Sunday matinees at 3:00pm on July 29, August 5, 12, 19 & 26 and Sunday evening at 7:00pm on September 2 & 9. There will be a special matinee on Wednesday on August 22 at 2:00pm. Single tickets are priced at $70 for all performances.
