Moira Buffini's new play Dying for It, freely adapted from Erdman's The Suicide, opened on March 15th after beginning previews at London's Almeida Theatre on March 8th.  The show plays a limited engagement through April 28th.

"When his last hope for self-respect disappears, Semyon decides to take his own life.  But word gets out and he finds himself inundated with sympathetic visitors - begging him to die on their behalf.  Suddenly, he's an important man, and on the night of his proposed suicide, events spiral to a gloriously funny climax," state press materials on the play, which is directed by Anna Mackmin.

Dying for It stars Tom Brooke, Susan Brown, Dominic Charles-Rouse, Gil Cohen-Alloro, Charlie Condou, Michelle Dockery, Barnaby Kay, Paul Rider, Tony Rohr, Sophie Stanton, Ronan Vibert, and Liz White.
