Photo Flash: Disaster at Seth Rudetsky's DISASTER! DISASTER! Musical!

Disaster at Disaster! Yesterday, February 26, Seth Rudetsky and the company of DISASTER! DISASTER! The Musical were faced with a real life crisis when cast members Clif Thorn and Kathy Fitzgerald had to call out of last night's production - without understudies.

In true "the show must go on" fashion, DISASTER! co-writer Jack Plotnik flew across the country to perform the role of 'Tony', while co-creator Drew Geraci stepped into the heels (literally) of Fitzgerald in the role of 'Shirley' - yes, in full drag - and others.  Check out photos from the emergency put-in rehearsal below!

Seth Rudetsky's DISASTER, A 1970's disaster movie ...musical was written by Seth Rudetsky and Jack Plotnik, and directed/choreographed by Denis Jones with music direction by Steve Marzullo.  

The show starts on a summer night in 1979. All the hottest New York City A-Listers are putting on their platform shoes and polyester disco shirts and heading to the grand opening of Manhattan's first floating casino and discotheque. Little do they know that their night of boogie fever, Farrah Fawcett-feathered-hair and Bella Abzug hats will turn into....DISASTER!!!! The best 70's Songs! The biggest 70's Disasters! DISASTER!
