Photo Coverage: Susan Schulman Guests on 'Backstage With Peter LeDonne'
Longtime theatrical Ad Man, Peter LeDonne, is now a New York radio host on 970 AM The Answer with Backstage with Peter LeDonne. Peter's show airs every Sunday from 12 Noon to 1 PM. He will have special guests, including Jamie deRoy who is Peter's Night Life Correspondent and will provide listeners with information about what's going on in the New York City live entertainment scene.
Peter's guest this Sunday will be Susan L. Schulman who has been a theatrical press agent for more than 40 years, handling Broadway plays and musicals and individual stars. She has worked with many Broadway legends including George C. Scott, Yul Brynner, Bob Fosse, David Merrick, Zero Mostel, Mary Martin and Lauaren Bacall. In her dishy new memoir, BACKSTAGE PASS TO BROADWAY, Schulman pulls back the curtain to let readers see what goes on backstage on Broadway.
As an owner of one of New York City's most prominent entertainment marketing firms, he wrote, directed and produced commercials for hundreds of Broadway and Off-Broadway shows, Ringling Brothers, Barnum & Bailey Circus, Ice Follies, Holiday on Ice, the New York Knicks and the New York Rangers. For the New York Yankees, he created the famous 'At Any Moment A Great Moment' campaign and wrote the lyrics for the team's theme song. He has produced for the stage: Forget Me Not Lane, Groucho, A Life in Revue, and Mack & Mabel. His first film, "Curtain Call", was nominated for an Academy Award®. He produced five other films, and directed two. His most recent is Barrymore, starring Christopher Plummer, which premiered at the 2011 Toronto International Film Festival and was released theatrically.
