On August 8th, 2008 original cast members John Gallagher Jr. (Tony Award Winner) and Lauren Pritchard, current cast member Alexandra Socha, upcoming cast member Hunter Parrish (TV's Weeds), and special guest Duncan Sheik performed songs from SPRING AWAKENING Live from the Apple Store SoHo. This event was recorded for the LIVE from SoHo series, an iTunes exclusive.
Previous LIVE from SoHo recording sessions have featured such artists as The Decemberists, Maroon 5, Linkin Park, Counting Crows, and Taylor Swift.The Apple Store in Soho is located at 103 Prince Street between Greene and Prince streets.
Spring Awakening continues its record-breaking run at the Eugene O'Neill Theatre, 230 West 49th Street. The musical, with music by Duncan Sheik and book and lyrics by Steven Sater, is choreographed by Bill T. Jones and directed by Michael Mayer. Winner of 8 Tony Awards including Best Musical as well as 2008 Grammy winner, SPRING AWAKENING celebrates the journey from youth to adulthood with a power, a poignancy and a passion that is unforgettable.
SPRING AWAKENING is currently playing on Broadway at The Eugene O'Neill Theatre, 230 W. 49th Street. Performance schedule for Spring Awakening is as follows: Monday at 8 pm, Tuesday at 7pm, Wednesday through Saturday at 8 pm, Matinees on Wednesday and Saturday at 2 pm.
