The cast of the upcoming Greg Kotis play Pig Farm--Denis O'Hare, Katie Finneran, Logan Marshall-Green and John Ellison Conlee--as well as Kotis and director John Rando gathered to meet the press and pose for photos on May 12th. Presented by the Roundabout Theatre Company, the co-world premiere (in collaboration with the Old Globe, San Diego, CA) Pig Farm will begin previews on Friday, June 9, 2006 and will open officially on Tuesday, June 27, Off Broadway at the Laura Pels Theatre at the Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center for Theatre (111 West 46 Street). It will play a limited engagement through Sunday, September 3, 2006.

Pig Farm is a satire that reunites Tony Award-winning Urinetown co-writer Kotis with Tony Award-winner Rando, who directed that musical. "Under a pot-bellied sky on a struggling pig farm somewhere in America, Tom (John Ellison Conlee), Tina (Katie Finneran) and their hired hand Tim (Logan Marshall-Green) fight to hold onto everything they have – namely, a herd of fifteen thousand restless pigs. Dumping sludge into the river has driven Tom to drink, and Tim seems to have caught Tina's eye, but when Teddy (Denis O'Hare), an officer of the Environmental Protection Agency arrives to inspect the operation, life on the farm explodes, implodes, then explodes again. Not literally, of course, but…you get the idea," state press notes.
