Photo Coverage: MTC & Bernadette Peters Honor Peter J. Solomon

Last night, May 24, MTC hosted thier annual Spring Gala at Cipriani 42nd Street. The organization honored MTC's Board Chairman Peter J. Solomon for his longtime leadership, as well as his generous support of and commitment to MTC. BroadwayWorld was on hand for the event.

The evening's special guests included Jan Maxwell, Lynn Nottage, Linda Lavin, Barry and Fran Weissler, and many more.

Designed with entertaining in mind, the benefit begin with cocktails and a silent auction followed by a seated dinner and live auction, in addition to a one-night only show featuring Bernadette Peters, performing from her extensive repertoire of classic and contemporary songs.

All proceeds from the Spring Gala will support MTC's mission as a leading non-profit theatre company producing contemporary plays on and off-Broadway.

At a young age Monica Simoes became a fan of the stage forever. She always dreamt of being a part of theatrical magic. However, those dreams seemed thwarted by her inability to carry a note and her two left feet. Yet, that minor speed bump didn't stop her.
